Skyler is from Washington and received her BA in Philosophy with a minor in History from Eastern Washington University. She then attended Gonzaga University School of Law and received her JD in May of 2023.

While at Gonzaga, Skyler interned with the Spokane County Public Defenders and worked in felony criminal defense matters. Skyler's focus school was civil rights, and she is a recipient of the Civil Rights Certificate from Gonzaga's Center for Civil and Human Rights. Skyler was also awarded the Best Oral Advocate Award and won the final championship round of Gonzaga's annual appellate argument competition in 2022. Skyler was a member of the Environmental Law Society and Moot Court Honors Council.

When not at work, Skyler can be found caring for her houseplants or out on a hike. She is an avid national park explorer and loves to get outdoors
